TANZANIA & ZANZIBAR ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by your driver/guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Along the way, enjoy scenic views if you're lucky of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. Upon arrival at the hotel, check-in, freshen up, and relax before dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast we are departing from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, known for its high population of elephants and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy your first game drive to spot wildlife such as zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, impalas, gazelles, and big cats. After a picnic lunch in the park, continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Lake Manyara
After breakfast we will head to Lake Manyara for a full day of game viewing. Over the years, the park has transformed into more of a lush forest.

Lake Manyara is famous for its ncredible landscapes: the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment, dense woodlands, and beautiful mountainsides. It’s the perfect place to start your adventure.

As the afternoon comes to an end, you’ll head to your accommodation to relax, enjoy dinner, and settle in for the night.

Day 4: Serengeti
After breakfast we will drive straight to Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is vast, wild, and iconic nearly 15,000 sq km of pure wilderness. It’s no wonder every traveler dreams of witnessing it.

Known by the Maasai as “the endless plains,” the Serengeti truly lives up to its name. You’ll be amazed by the sheer amount of wildlife here. This is the land of the Big Five, lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the rare black rhino and it’s also world-famous for the Great Migration and its breathtaking landscapes.

After your game drive, you’ll head to your lodge inside the park, where you will enjoy dinner, and take in the views before settling in for the night.

Travel to Tanzania

Flights

Everyone is responsible for their own air travel.

Arrival: in Kilimanjaro International Airport, Tanzania.

Departure: Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ), Zanzibar, airfare is NOT included in the price. The best way to find flights to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) is through Skyscanner CLICK HERE

If it's easier for you to have a return flight to the same airport I'm happy to arrange you a flight from Zanzibar to Kilimanjaro Airport.

Insurance

Everyone will need to take care of their own travel insurance. Travel Insurance is mandatory for this trip, if you don't already have one I can recommend you Safetywing which you can easily get insured for this trip CLICK HERE

Payment

An $900 USD deposit is needed to reserve your spot. The full amount will need to be paid by bank transfer only. Transfer fees need to be paid by the sender.

All payments are NON-REFUNDABLE!

In case of cancellations after down payment or last minute cancellations, payments will NOT be refunded. This is to cover the extra costs due to cancellations. The group trip is based on a set amount of people and therefore I can't refund any cancellations unfortunately.

Day 5: Northern Serengeti (Mara River Crossing)
The sounds of Africa gently wake you after a peaceful night’s sleep. After freshening up, you’ll head to the main area for breakfast we're spending the entire day exploring Northern Serengeti. This region is home to the dramatic Mara River Crossing, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras fight their way across crocodile-filled waters during the Great Migration.

As the afternoon comes to an end, you’ll make your way back to your lodge inside the park the perfect place to relax, enjoy dinner, and settle in for another unforgettable night in the Serengeti.

Day 6: Karatu
After breakfast in the Serengeti, you’ll enjoy a final morning game drive, taking in the endless plains and any last wildlife sightings. Then it’s time to continue your journey toward Karatu. The drive takes you through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you may spot more animals along the way.

You’ll arrive in Karatu by late afternoon and check in to your lodge. Relax, unwind, and enjoy a delicious dinner as you reflect on the unforgettable moments of your safari before settling in for the night

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater
On A Early morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a 7-hour game drive, exploring the world’s largest intact caldera and searching for black rhinos, lions, hippos, and more. Later, drive back to Arusha for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival you will be transferred to our beach hotel in Nungwi.

Day 8: Zanzibar
After breakfast, we’ll get ready for a full-day adventure to explore the island. The day includes a spice tour, a guided visit through historic Stone Town, and a trip to Prison Island, home to the giant tortoises.
We’ll return to the hotel in the evening to relax after an exciting day.

Day 9: Free day do explore Zanzibar
A full day in paradise with plenty of free time. You can book optional tours like the dolphin tour or Mnemba Island, swim with vibrant marine life, or simply relax by the ocean at our hotel. Zanzibar’s laid-back magic is yours to enjoy. In the evening we will all meet for our last goodbye dinner together.

Day 10: Departure
After breakfast and a final stroll along the beach, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your journey home or you decide to extend your holiday in Zanzibar on your own. Your heart is full and your camera roll overflowing.
